Katy Sherratt is the Chief Executive Officer of Back on My Feet (BoMF).  Katy joined Back on My Feet in 2012 as Chief Operations Officer and was appointed CEO in early 2015. During her tenure with BoMF, the organization has launched in three new major cities and a fourth is in the works, increased programmatic impact by 60%, grown revenues by 30% and introduced new and important measurements to demonstrate the holistic impact of the program. In addition to the measurement of the program’s health impact and sustainability of the employment and housing improvements, she recently commissioned an Economic Impact Study confirming for every one dollar invested in Back on My Feet, a minimum of $2.50 goes back into the US economy. With Back on My Feet’s support over 4,000 individuals have found a job or a home and 90% have sustained these life-changing transitions. “Back on My Feet is a unique, dynamic and growing nonprofit organization,” said Katy. “While a nonprofit by name we very much run like a fast paced, innovative, corporate start-up. We are relentlessly focused on improving our impact and constantly looking at new ways to bring more supporters to our mission. I love leading and working with such a passionate staff – this isn’t a job to us, this is a mission, a purpose – to revolutionize the homeless landscape in the US and beyond.”

Prior to joining Back on My Feet, Katy was a leader in the Accenture Strategy Practice overseeing client projects in both the corporate and nonprofit space including Morgan Stanley, Shell and the United Nations. She has also served as an expert panelist at national and international forums on poverty alleviation, social innovation and health and wellness. Katy, originally from the UK, graduated from University of Leeds with a degree in Management Studies and French. Katy currently lives in New York City, after living and working in Paris, London and across the US.

Human Resources Manager

Megan joined Back on My Feet as the HR Manager in 2016. Megan spent eight years in the corporate setting in Recruiting and Human Resources Management prior to joining Back on My Feet. Having spent many years volunteering with various organizations and always maintaining a passion for community service, Megan is excited to be a part of the team working toward the mission of Back on My Feet.

Megan holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Cedarville University in Business Management and is also a Certified Human Resources Professional after earning her SHRM-CP in 2016. 

Evan Cantiello

National Program Director

Evan joined Back on My Feet in 2011 after working at an Adolescent Violence Reduction Partnership through Shalom Inc. and Covenant House Pennsylvania, a safe haven for youth 21 and under. Since joining Back on My Feet, Evan has served as the Member Services Manager, Philadelphia Program Director, and is now the National Program Director. Evan feels incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity work with all program staff members across Back on My Feet to create safe and impactful communities. When Evan is not running, you can find him riding through Philly on his bike.

"When you run to push your body to the limit there is a universal experience to be had. When you are sweating and ready to keel over you see who you are. If you don’t like what you see then you can decide to change. Back on My Feet helps to facilitate this through running and community."

Evan holds a B.A. from Eastern University and M.Ed. focusing on Human Development from Temple University.

Paul Hilger

Director of Finance and Accounting

Paul joined Back on My Feet in 2015.  He has an extensive background in corporate finance, having held a number of senior finance positions in the private sector, including 17 years with Thomson Reuters.  He is also passionate about community service and is proud to be part of the Back on My Feet team.  Paul has a BS in Business Administration from Seton Hall University, a Master of Liberal Arts from the University of Pennsylvania, and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Ashley Kilpatrick

Ashley Kilpatrick

Vice President of Development

Ashley joined Back on My Feet in 2011 as the first Executive Director of Back on My Feet Atlanta.  She then served as the Regional Executive Director over Back on My Feet’s Baltimore and DC chapters. Now, as the Vice President of Development, Ashley leads the fundraising strategy and execution for BoMF nationally. In addition to her experience on the ground with BoMF, Ashley has worked in foundation and corporate relations at a major university and led the major gifts program for a national mental health nonprofit. Her current work focuses on building national corporate partnerships, strengthening BoMF’s development infrastructure and diversifying BoMF’s funding.

And then, people will be able to tackle the challenging road ahead. Then, provide job training, education, employment and housing opportunities. And, you know what, it works.”

Ashley graduated from Vanderbilt University and the University of Georgia School of Law. After two years as a corporate defense litigator, she moved into nonprofit development and management.

National Director of Evaluation and Data

Liz joined Back on My Feet in 2011 as a Senior Program Analyst. Liz’s major role is measuring the success of Back on My Feet’s members. Prior to joining Back on My Feet, Liz worked in the Research and Evaluation department at a Philadelphia nonprofit consultancy, Public/Private Ventures.

“I love running because you are totally in control. You decide how far you run, how fast you run and where you run. You own everything about the process—especially the success and feeling of accomplishment when you’ve run farther than you ever thought you could!”

Liz graduated from Bucknell University with a BA in Psychology and Spanish. She completed her master’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies at Penn State University, where she continues to work on her PhD.

Bridget Morse

Accounting Coordinator

Bridget joined Back on My Feet in November of 2015 as a financial coordinator.  Prior to being with Back on My Feet, she worked as a financial coordinator for the Barnes Foundation in Merion and in Philadelphia, through the new building construction to the inaugural first years on the Parkway.  

I first heard about Back on My Feet when I met a lone ranger on the Martin Luther King Drive during the first in24 Philadelphia Race Challenge.  Later, I met some Back on My Feet runners at the local races and experienced the joy and comradery of the members.  I believe this program can change lives and I wanted to be part of it.  I have run in the in24 Philadelphia Morning Races and paced/crewed for my husband during his lone ranger attempts at 100 miles.  I am excited to be part of Back on My Feet.

Bridget has a BS from Millersville University in Business Administration.  

Chrissy Vasquez

Vice President of Operations

Chrissy started her involvement with Back on My Feet as a FundRacer in fall 2011 while training for the Indianapolis Monumental Marathon and to-date has raised more than $25,000 for Back on My Feet through FundRacing. In spring 2012 she became the Team Leader for Team Manchester in Indianapolis and Back on My Feet quickly became an organization Chrissy was passionate about. Chrissy served as Executive Director of the Indianapolis Chapter before transitioning to the national staff as VP of Operations.

"Service has been a personal core value since I was 14 when I started serving in soup kitchens. I ran my first half marathon in 2010 and my best friend is a recovering addict. Back on My Feet is a unique organization that takes everything I'm passionate about and encompasses it into one mission that I believe in. I love how the program and volunteer interaction transforms lives while the members learn to achieve self-sufficiency through participating in the Next Steps portion of our program where they gain access to job preparedness training, financial literacy and life skills education."

Chrissy has a degree in Marketing from Arizona State and an MBA in Marketing from Indiana University. Prior to working for Back on My Feet, Chrissy was on the professional staff of Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity and on the fundraising staff at the Indiana State Museum. Currently, Chrissy volunteers as a driver for Meals on Wheels, serving on the Board of Directors for Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity, and as President-Elect of the Indiana Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Chrissy knows first-hand how transformative the sport of running can be as training for Ironman Arizona helped to transform her life – mentally, physically and spiritually. Chrissy was honored to give a TedEx Talk to the staff of Eli Lilly & Company on the topic of personal reinvention in 2015. She spends free time training, volunteering and spending time with her rescue Boxer Boyd.

Director of National Events and Communications

Casey joined Back on My Feet in 2011 as Assistant to the Founder and has since expanded her role to the Corporate Relations and Communication team, bringing her prior public relations and communications knowledge, as well as past experience executing Back on My Feet chapter launches and national events.
